MBCOL Receives Diamond Jubilee Award

MBCOL is delighted to have been chosen as one of a select few organisations to be awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for community and voluntary service. The award was
MBCOL Chair Suleman Nagdi said ‘We are very happy to have been given the prestigious Queen’s Diamond Jubilee award in recognition of our professional service to the communities we serve. Since we received our Golden Jubilee Award the breadth and depth of our work has increased over the past few years and the granting of this award is recognition of the efforts of all those associated with our organisation. We are an organisation that was established in 1994; being the first of its kind in Europe which worked with the local authority to create the provision for out of hours funerals. We are currently involved in many aspects of the bereavement process, doctor working with other groups that are both faith and non-faith based.’
