MBCOL was pleased to host the City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby, who officially opened MBCOL’s new Resource Centre at 1A Moat Road, rx Leicester.
MBCOL Chair Suleman Nagdi MBE DL said ‘We are very happy to have acquired an office which meets our professional requirements of the community we serve as the breadth and depth of our work has increased over the past few years. We are an organisation that was established in 1994; being the first of its kind in Europe which worked with the local authority to create the provision for out of hours funerals. We are currently involved in many aspects of the bereavement process, cialis working with other groups that are both faith and non-faith based. The resource centre is open for use to all communities. Our work has been recognised locally, nationally and internationally in various ways including through the granting of both the Golden and Diamond Jubilee awards for voluntary service.’
In officially opening the office Sir Peter Soulsby said ‘MBCOL is unique in the work that it carries out and this fantastic Resource Centre will hopefully allow MBCOL to carry out its outstanding work for many years to come. I am particularly proud of the partnership that the City Council has had with MBCOL for almost 20 years and I wish MBCOL the greatest of success in their future endeavours as they continue to expand their operations and add to what is already a fantastic reputation’
