Registration over weekends

It was lovely to speak with you for the first time this morning, I’m sorry it is under such circumstances.
As discussed, we established that there is no bottleneck as far as registration is concerned. We are registering deaths as soon as practicably possible on receiving an acceptable medical certificate of cause of death. There are some delays in the process concerned with issuing med certs, but that is to be expected at this time and is out of my control. As a service, we are registering continuously Monday to Friday and monitoring the situation at weekends. So far we have not come across any specific issues related to the weekend.
I am keeping a close eye on registration at all times and will of course review processes as necessary. Please do let me know if you have any further concerns or questions, I am happy to discuss them with you.
I very much appreciate the positivity you expressed towards our working relationship in collaboration with the local authority in general and our colleagues in the coroners and burials teams.
A challenging time for all, but certainly one we can meet with the understanding, support and patience of those involved.
