Subject: Recent meeting with Ipswich & Suffolk Muslim Council

Dear Salim,

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for all the time, help, advice and warm hospitality which you kindly afforded to myself, Boshor, Shami and Steve on Monday.

Over the past 30 years I have had the privilege of meeting with many experienced and knowledgeable individuals within the funeral industry. However, I can honestly say that I have rarely been so impressed with the integrity, patience, understanding and warmth that was offered so freely by you to us all.

What you and your fellow council members have achieved for the Muslim community of Leicester is a shining example of how to work together in order to best meet the needs of bereaved families, whilst engaging the co-operation and trust of all the key offices and decision makers involved.

I wish you all the very best in your future endeavours and thank you once again for all your help and kindness.

Kind regards

Liam Roberts

Salam. Just wanted to give you feedback with regards to my experience with MBCol when using them to bury my wife.

I am originally from swansea. My wife was transferred to glenfield hospital as she became very ill and had to be on a specialist machine called ecmo. My wife was there for 70 days and then passed away. Since I am from swansea, I wanted my wife to be buried there so my child can do ziyarat when he gets older.

I was given MBCol number from the chapalin lady Rukia. She initially made the call and got the ball rolling.

My experience with MBCol was fantastic. I mainly dealt with salahuddin and Salim. They talked me through everything and were there when I needed them. I thought MBCol was part of Jame mosque and spoke to them to do my wifes washing. I didn’t realise that you were 2 different companies however I did not get any criticism from both parties and I  was impressed the way the two worked together to make my life easy.

Salahuddin had a long journey. He did not complain once to me. There was an accident on the m6 so it took him 5 hours to go to swansea but not once did he moan about it on the phone. He was punctual and professional. I was impressed by the private ambulance and the cost of the whole process. I only had to pay £300 which is amazing as swansea funeral directors who are non Muslims charge around £1200 for coffin and transport in swansea alone.

I would really like to thank you all. Please keep up the good work. I know that you are a charity organisation and if you are ever collecting money then please contact me as I would like to contribute. Thank you for helping me even though I wasn’t from leicester and thank you for going so far away to drop my wifes body. May Allah reward you all.

Assalamu Alaykum W W

First and foremost I pray that this email finds you in the best, of health,
wealth and Imaan  (Ameen)

I was recently involved in arranging  a funeral on Monday 28th May for my
friend’s late Mother ( Mrs. Fatima Kalu Jamal )

The family and the funeral arrangers at Masjid Umar have been extremely
pleased with the services provided by MBCOL and the Registrar namely Rebecca Sheppard

The family convey their sincere appreciation and gratitude in particular
Salaudin Chugtai at MBCOL for being there at their time of need. He was
Very courteous, polite, understanding and very accommodating.

Equally Rebecca Sheppard at Leicester Registrar’s office for showing the
empathy and going out of her way to make calls to surgery, coroner
and GMC in her attempts to trace the certifying doctor . The family are
immensely obliged to Rebecca for making the telephone calls and then
fitting in death registration appointment into her busy schedule to ensure that
funeral would take place on the day as arranged by family.  The family are
Indebted to Rebecca for her kind assistance

Please pass on our regards and feedback to all concerned

Wassalaam

Asalamu’alaikum W.W. Respected Trustees and Members of MBCOL,

Firstly we would like to thank MBCOL for the advice and support it has been offering to us over the last 2 years, and taking this further to a level of openness and transparency that very few organisations, if any, are willing to provide. We attended the training session on 29th May 2012, to help assist our board in the development and furtherance of a burial council for the Muslims in Birmingham.

We were greeted and treated very warmly and hospitably. Our expectations were far exceeded in the level of organisation, professionalism and conduct displayed by the MBCOL personnel. Suleman bhai very humbly introduced MBCOL and Salim bhai delivered a 5 hour training session running up to 10.30pm. The level of expertise, know-how and strategic vision we witnessed in this short period of time demonstrated the milestones you have achieved to an explicit level of detail. This assisted us in identifying and prioritising our key objectives and steps forward. Despite running into personal time, Salim bhai did not once rush us and was very welcoming in any questions and answered them to our thorough satisfaction. As an organisation MBCOL is an exemplary model for a great number of reasons, one item which stood out distinctly was the sincere, co-operative and enduring approach used to change the mind-set of the public, community leaders and authoritative bodies whilst addressing issues faced by the community. Whilst achieving your extraordinary objectives we feel MBCOL is a leading example for all Muslim organisation, having demonstrated a manner and etiquette that we all, as Muslims, should present.

Finally may we commend the efforts your operational staff have put into the cause of MBCOL, especially Salim bhai who is sacrificing an enormous amount of time – which is as we note in Birmingham, is very difficult to find. May Allah (SWT) reward you all from His treasures and grant you the strength to maintain such a high level of service to humanity locally, nationally and overseas. We would like to especially thank you for the full support, assistance and resources provided and look forward to working closely with you.

We request your Duas.

Kind Regards,

Yaseen Chikhliwala

Dear Sulemanbhai Nagdi & Salimbhai Mangera

On behalf of Shantidham and myself I am writing to express our gratitude for all the help that you have given in expediting the funeral arrangements of Mr Dinesh Amlani who had passed away in India.

You quickly provided your expertise in dealing with all the arrangements with Coroner’s Department, Registrar of Death & Marriages and Leicester City Council’s Cemetery and Cremation Officer. Without your help, guidance and support it would have been very difficult for the family members especially during this time of bereavement in their family.

Once again thank you both very much for the selfless and timely help given. May the almighty give you strength and a long life to carry on the wonderful work both of you are doing.
